Hello beautiful people from across the lands! Before I shop at ALDI and save the most expensive line item on my budget was food. Before I became conscious of my spending, over $500 would be spent on food within a month. Ridiculous, I know. After becoming aware of this terrible spending habit I buckled down and minimized my eating out ventures. I save even more shopping at ALDI!
Grocery shopping intentionally became high on my radar. I wanted to create meals that I could stretch throughout the week and pack my lunch more for work pre-COVID. ALDI’s became my best friend, first of all, their bread is .89 cent! ALDI’s was like a hidden gem I never saw that was sitting right before me. In this post, discover three reasons to shop at ALDI and save on groceries!
1. Unbeatable Prices
Just in case you didn’t catch it the first time the bread is .89 cents!
That is just one of the many good deals I find during every trip.
I budget $150 a month, $75 per pay for a family of four and make out just fine.
Now there are not many name brand items in there but it is still good food.
There are even organic items and natural meat.
The produce prices are just awesome.
On the flip side, there are few stable items I will go to other grocery stores for because ALDI doesn’t carry it.
I have to have my Accent salt for seasoning and Philadelphia cream cheese.
Other than that, just throw it in the cart!
I feel like a big baller with my cart full of groceries that is often under $100.
Keep the receipt and be rewarded for your hard earn spending. Read how here!
2. Wine is $2.95!
Yes this deserves its own paragraph, don’t judge me!
After a long week of work, blogging, mommy and wife duty I like to chill out with a nice glass of wine on Fridays.
A nice glass of Pink Moscato gets me right every time.
But seriously the adult beverages are extremely reasonable keeping it budget-friendly to treat yourself.
3. Environmentally Friendly
ALDI charges you for using plastic bags.
Often times you will see shoppers with reusable bags.
This is really good for mother Earth.
Fun fact about me: I am a very proactive person when it comes to recycling.
After taking an environmental class during undergrad I had a new found awareness of our many wasteful and toxic behaviors that is harming the Earth.
More stores are starting to take on this business model.
This reason may not seem of much immediate benefit but in the long run, it’s good for us all.
Conclusion
All of these components make the journey to debt freedom a little easier.
Savings, good wine prices, and saving the Earth all in one place!
You can’t beat that.
Where do you shop to get the most savings? Are you an ALDI’s shoppers?
Let me know your thoughts.
Until Next time dream, believe and achieve.
