Hello, beautiful from across the lands! We’ve been cruising down dreamland this past couple of post. Some may find these posts pointless or even a waste of time. I beg to differ. As mentioned in the previous post having the hope or the dream is the foundation in making it into your reality. What is it exactly that you’re aiming to achieve? More importantly why?
Now, this next hope of mine may seem far fetched to some. It is something on my radar I want in my life and that is building wealth. There was a time I thought being rich or wealthy automatically equated to evil. Often I was content with the idea of just having enough to meet my basic needs and fun things from time to time. For me personally, that mindset serves no purpose in my life and I feel as though I am shortchanging myself and generations after me.
What is wealth?
Wealth is having an overflow or an abundance of possessions or money. Wealth can also mean a variety of different things depending on the person’s focus. It could be abundance in health, relationships, networks and so on. I want to be clear the wealth I want to build focus on is money, mula, dinero, cash cash, the bag! You get my point. In the past stating that would make me feel uncomfortable having some form of guilt. In the past, I thought to have lots of money meant evil is involved. The bible states in 1 Timothy 6:10 “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows”.
Shifting Mindset
The key thing to realize is the actions and motivations behind what one decides to do and for money is what makes it evil. Just having a lot does not. It’s silly at some point in time I did not think this way. I just went with what is ignorantly shared. I’m neither ashamed nor afraid to say that I am seeking to acquire wealth that impacts many generations after me. Heck, white folk been doing it for centuries and some off the backs of black folk (don’t get me started). I just believe a shift in mindset is important when understanding and creating wealth. I am crazy enough to think one day I will get there.
Until next time dream, believe and achieve.
