Hello, beautiful people from across the lands! Let the dreaming continue! “To whom much is given much is required” Luck 12:48. Now I know a lot of my hopes and aspirations center mostly on me and family. I would also like to give more to others. I have been in very hard times with me and my kiddos. Things were not always sweet and berries. I have gone a year without a vehicle, 3 days straight with no lights, constant car troubles, unable to pay for daycare stressing who will watch the kids while at work, stretching my last $30 for food until next pay, robbing Peter to pay Paul and the list goes on. Some of the situations are still very present.
Blessing Single Moms
One thing I have learned is that there is always someone who has it worse or has not gotten out of the hole you’ve been able to dig yourself out. I have a special heart for single mothers and children. I would love to gift a single mom with a fully paid off working vehicle and bills paid for the year. Not having to worry about meeting your basic needs and transportation lifts a huge weight off your shoulders. One thing about trying to reach financial independence is it’s difficult to shift from survivor mode constantly solving one crisis after another. I definitely would like to give in other ways by empowering people with knowledge to leverage their situations. Let’s face it, giving people what they need for the moment can only go so far. Empowering them with knowledge can last a lifetime.
Hand Up Not Hand Out
You know the saying “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you’ll feed him for a lifetime”. Giving for me means more than just monetary things it’s the time and space you spend as well. One of the big benefits of becoming financially independent is the freedom to spend your time where you want. Let me know your thoughts. In what ways would you give back and make a difference that you’re not able to do today?
Until next time dream, believe and achieve.
