Hello, beautiful people from across the lands! I don’t know about you but DIY has become the new normal in my household. During this quarantine, I was forced to learn some things I would have just paid someone to do like waxing my eyebrows. Trial and error with eyebrow waxing is no joke because there is no undoing the mistake. Anywho, on the bright side, I learned how to do things myself but saved a little coin while doing so. With so many affordable beauty products to choose from I was able to meet SOME of my beauty needs. In this post, I am going to share affordable beauty products that can help you in these quarantine streets.
1. Wax Kit
Eyebrow waxing may be outdated for some with all the new options out there. But for me, it is a staple and this quarantine had me out super bushy! It’s not professional but it’s presentable and I’ll take it! It can get a little messy but after a few tries, you get the hang of it. I also started doing my armpits and legs.
2. Eyebrow Razors for Shaping
One of the things I noticed after I waxed my eyebrows is that it still needed a little touch up to make it sharp. These razors did the trick! Helping me keep my DIY eyebrows clean. It’s also great to use to refresh when the hair starts to grow back.
3. Scalp Massager
I can not complete a wash day routine for my hair without a scalp massager. I like to do before the wash to help lift any dead skin off my scalp. Also during shampoo to help with circulation. Scalp massaging helps blood flow to your scalp which is good for hair growth. Having this handy creates such a soothing experience.
4. Foot Soaker
Gotta soak them corns every once in a while! Before the pandemic shut down I already had this handy. Add a few drops of your favorite essential oil, turn on your favorite show, or ready the Hopeful Reality blog (wink wink) and just relax.
5. L.A Colors Nail Polish
The pain of not being able to get your nails done or refilled was felt around the world! I personally am not a big fake nail person but I love a good simple nail paint. One trick I use to make it last longer is to use the gel clear coat versus a regular one.
Action Steps to Take NOW
1st Step: Always review your budget to make sure if your going to make a purchase its accounted for (do not let Amazon have you out here looking crazy lol)
2nd Step: Identify what beauty procedure you do not mind doing yourself and give it go!
3rd Step: Have fun! Just try not to lose any eyebrows lol!
Conclusion
Depending on where you are, many beauty services may not be available. Even if they are you may not feel comfortable going out just yet and that’s ok. There are many affordable beauty products where you can begin some self-care right at home.
What beauty service have you tried? Any setbacks?
Until next time dream, believe, and achieve.
