Book Review: HAPPY Women Live Better
Hello, beautiful people from across the lands. Last week I shared my progress with baby steps to debt freedom starting with step one. Step one begins with Saving $1,000 in Emergency Fund. If you haven’t read it yet or need a few tips on how to get started, be sure to check it out. Being on this debt-free journey has its ups and downs. There will be moments of frustrations, unexpected mishaps or even when the budget just doesn’t balance out right. I want to encourage you that just taking that initial step alone to do something about your debt is progress.
I read a really good book called HAPPY Women Live Better. It talks about the 13 ways to trigger happiness in your everyday living. One of the practical but insightful triggers I enjoyed reading up on is smiling. Just a simple smile can have an impact on your mood and life. The author Valorie Burton talks about how powerful and beneficial it is to smile. In the book, it states “A smile triggers the release of serotonin, a calming hormone as well as endorphins. These hormones help you relax and improve how you feel. A genuine smile is worth years of life” Who knew to smile is actually healthy for you?! Being in debt and constant financial stress may have taken your smile away.
As we tackle this mountain day by day and pay by pay know that its 80% mental and only 20% actions. The most challenging part is renewing and conditioning our minds to believe in a place of abundance. Smiling is just one trigger of the many that can help boost your mood throughout the day. Be sure to check out HAPPY Women Live Better to find out more. Today I encourage you to smile despite of, for the sake of your well-being.
Until next time dream, believe and achieve.
