Hello, beautiful people from across the lands! On my journey to debt freedom and financial independence learning personal finance became a priority. At first it seemed like a bunch of terminology and money strategy my bank account could not afford. Later it became empowering and a huge stress reliever. This can be the same for you. Not sure why this should become a part of normal conversation? Let’s get into some of the benefits of learning personal finance.

Personal Finance

If you’ve been reading through many of my blog posts you know that budgeting is step 1 in your personal finance journey. Thinking of it as your pathway to financial freedom vs financial restrictions. Builds Financial Literacy

About three years ago financial literacy was very foriegn to me. I was in my late 20’s with two children and did not know how to budget. I had no plans for my money and often found myself stressed when bills were due. Now they are on autopay! Talk about growth!

I can contribute that growth to building up my understanding of financial literacy. Sitting down and getting to know numbers helped me realize where the gaps were in my financial habits. I also began to expand my understanding beyond budgeting and into building savings that put in a place of stability.

Builds Financial Stability

Last but not least learning personal finance builds stability. The more you know, the more you grow. Both within yourself and your bank account! As you learn and apply these money concepts and strategies you create a more secure financial future.
