Hello, beautiful people from across the lands! On my journey to debt freedom and financial independence I have begun to read more productivity books. Not only did I read about personal finance strategy, I found that I also needed to improve on my productivity. Improving productivity allows me to put what I am learning into action. Reading these top productivity books of 2024 has helped me create systems that allowed for more goal completion than planning. In this post I share my key takeaways from each book. I highly recommend reading all three.

Reaching Your Goals

Atomic Habits

productivity books

Atomic Habits has been a huge help for me in improving my productivity. My biggest takeaway from this book was goals vs systems. James Clear the author discusses how goal setting alone is not enough. He emphasizes how often people fail because the goals have no structure for achievement. This just absolutely blew my mind. I am a huge advocate for goal setting especially S.M.A.R.T goals. What I realize after reading this book is that you have to be intentional on not just stating the goal but having a system to achieve it. There are so many nuggets I have gotten from this book. I begun to apply right away and can say I’ve noticed improvement. Visit here to purchase this book.

4 Hour Work Week

productivity books

The 4 Hour Work Week is a book I am still finishing up now actually. I will say however the simplification of systems seems to be the focus in this book. Learning how to get more done in less time is something I am excited to master. Many of us women (men you’re not excluded) wear many hats burning out trying to find balance in it all. I am looking forward to discovering effective ways to be both productive and simplify my systems. Enabling me to produce more completed goals. Visit here to purchase this book.

The Compound Effect

I’ve actually read The Compound Effect almost 5 years ago. This book was very profound in breaking down one powerful understanding. The simple small decisions we make everyday add up overtime. These small decisions may seem minuscule but have the greatest impact on our lives. That concept has stuck with me over the years. It has helped me have real conversations with myself when certain things have not happened in my life. Visit here to purchase this book.

Action Steps to Take NOW

Step 1: Identify at least one of the books to read (Atomic Habits, 4 Hour Work Week, or The Compound Effect)

Step 2: After identifying a book make a purchase (make sure it is within your budget)

Step 3: Identify at least 1 hour of your day when you can read and set a recurring reminder to prompt you too

Conclusion

Productivity is not merely energy to get things done but effective systems that best support you to do so. A commonality in all these top productivity books of 2024 is identifying systems to help achieve the goals you set and take action. Each book addresses the idea of productivity in its own unique way. Providing a strong strategy to help you get closer to goal achievement. Setting a goal is one thing, completing the goal successfully is another. All three productivity books are re-reads as you will find things you may have looked over during the first reading.

Which book do you plan to read? Have you read either of these, if so share your key takeaways?

Until next time dream, believe, and achieve.
